For the past few years I have steadily watched a small crack evolve into a 3/4" crack in one of my basement walls. The bowing of the wall caused me to fear of going into the basement and finding bricks and dirt on the floor.

 

I saw your ad on local TV and gave you a call. An appointment was made and your employees came by for an estimate. Bill and James Sanders were efficient and truthful in their presentation. We agreed to the work and a repair date was set.

 

On the scheduled day, they installed the beams and the required bracing. I had imagined the work would stop further cracking but I was completely amazed when I saw the crack was gone. The bricks were back to normal and the bowing was gone. They used concrete to weatherproof the crack. They made sure we were satisfied and they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves.

This is just a brief note to express our appreciation for the work your firm performed on a porch slab yesterday in New CastleIndiana. We are very happy with the end results that saved the demolition and reconstruction of the existing slab. This, of course, pleased us from the financial aspect; but it also has sentimental significance by preserving the work that our dad had done in building the existing porch almost 50 years ago.

Jack (Taylor? Not sure this is the correct last name) was extremely courteous and cooperative. He encountered some problems at first that seemed possibly insurmountable but his persistence in solving them paid off. His respect for the final appearance and thorough clean-up left things looking as neat as they had been before he started.

Being a business owner I would be happy to hear that our employees provide this same performance. Too often one only hears if there are complaints. While the good things are taken for granted should you care to use this in any manner as a testimonial to the quality of your work, please feel free to do so. I had two projects to be done at my home in Illinois. My basement walls had cracked and the different angle of the concrete blocks caused a crack in the living room ceiling as well as the kitchen ceiling. Additionally my sunroom had settled somewhat and the walk and outside door were out of plumb. Your men were here Wednesday and Thursday doing both jobs and I am totally satisfied. After the sunroom was perfect again, the men had some time left and raised my back porch well as the front sidewalk The crew (lead by Bill Sanders) arrived Wednesday and started excavating. They all impressed me with how hard they worked and what nice people they were. The only problem I had was that this was the first time I had hired a project done rather than doing it myself. I kept feeling as if I should be doing something. Thanks again for a great job!

I want to thank you again for the excellent work that you and your associates did on leveling our garage floor and patio at the house on Ashwood Drive. At the time we were looking for someone to do the job, only one other would come out and look at the job and they weren't really interested in doing it. You came out, completely explained what you would do and how you would do it, and then gave us a reasonable price to do the jobs. On the day of the work, you showed up when expected and went about the work in a professional way. Even though it took a lot more material than you expected, you did the job right and got the floor and patio raised so water drains away from the house.

 

When the garage floor leveled, we had a new door installed and it closes evenly all across the opening. After the patio was straightened out, much less water ran into the sump pump after a hard rain. It's been several years since you did our work and both are still doing the job.

Thanks again for the professional way you treated our job. I only wish that everyone doing work for me had the same standards.

In 1992 Charlton’s used their slabjacking technique to raise our sunken sidewalk. This has proven to be very successful, also less costly then taking out our sidewalk, then pouring another. The holes drilled to insert the mix soon blended with the other concrete. We have been very satisfied with the results.

I hired Charlton’s Concrete Correctors when a concrete (block) wall in my basement collapsed during a flood. Charlton Howell provided a detailed, reasonable estimate on the same day I called and started the job quickly. The job involved rebuilding the wall and tearing out and replacing concrete outside the house.
